Responsibilities

Join our team and help ensure patients receive timely care! As an Insurance Authorization Specialist, you’ll work with multiple payer sources to obtain and renew insurance authorizations for physician-ordered services. You’ll play a key role in keeping care on track by managing workflows, coordinating with clinicians, and staying up to date on payer requirements.

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Secure initial and ongoing authorizations from insurance providers.
  • Schedule authorized visits and update clinicians.
  • Handle payer communications and documentation.
  • Track expirations and proactively recertify authorizations.
  • Support discharge processing and client status updates.
  • Collaborate with caregivers and clinicians to ensure smooth care delivery.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Other Qualifications and Skills 

  • Bilingual English/Spanish with an ability to read, write and speak both languages fluently.
  • Ability to carry out detailed but involved written instructions, able to problem solve with few variables. 
  • Ability to communicate clearly, written and verbally. 
  • Adaptability and self-motivated. 
  • Microsoft Office and database activity. 
  • Handle multiple tasks simultaneously. 

 Education and Work Experience 

  •  Zero (0) – One (1)  years of administrative experience preferred. 
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); combination of education and 1 year of experience.
